Our team of experts can help identify security issues before they are exploited by attackers. We accomplish this by conducting vulnerability scans which are designed to simulate real-world probes and attacks. Our internal vulnerability testing explores the effectiveness of your internal security controls by simulating a real-world attacker that has access or who has gained unauthorized access inside of your network. Both internal and external scans are performed using a combination of automated tools and human analysis that look for technical flaws or vulnerabilities a potential hacker may exploit.
Results are presented to the system owner with a risk assessment and a remediation plan highlighting the steps needed to eliminate exposures. At the conclusion of our testing, a findings report is provided which includes a detailed description of each issue, an associated severity rating, an exploitability risk rating, and one or more practical recommendations for addressing any issues.
The goal of a penetration test is far different from all other noninvasive IT security testing (vulnerability scanning); penetration testing teams attempt to exploit vulnerabilities and identify potential areas that may cause damage to systems and data. BEW Global's external and internal penetration testing can effectively model attack scenarios that highlight risk from the largest, most complex environments down to the most simple requests. The external testing process is conducted remotely, and primarily utilizes manual resources to limit generic results from scanners and checklist methods found with general vulnerability assessments. Our internal penetration tests are geared to have minimal business impact: for most of the internal assessments, a BEW Global consultant is provided normal to minimal system-access levels that would be given to a typical employee or contractor.
During the testing, BEW Global documents the systems identified, the vulnerabilities that were pursued, and the extent of the exploitation available to a tester from a remote or physical location.
