South Jersey Healthcare Leverages BEW Global's Intelisecure Service for DLP System Management
Denver, Colorado (BEW Global) June 16, 2010 -- Today, BEW Global announces the successful implementation and operation of their Intelisecure Managed and Monitored Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service with South Jersey Healthcare (SJH). BEW Global is the first Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) in the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) arena. BEW Global’s Intelisecure service is changing the landscape of DLP management by providing an environment that generates business intelligence based on analytics and essential alerts of potential risk. Clients can use this continual feedback and intelligence to increase efficiency and improve business processes, while reducing costs and risk.
South Jersey Healthcare operates health care facilities in an area midway between Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Some of those facilities include the SJH Regional Medical Center, a state-of-the-art 262-bed facility in Vineland, and SJH Elmer Hospital, a 97-bed community hospital in Elmer. In addition, SJH offers outpatient care, home care and hospice services, and a network of community-based health clinics. The company also provides wellness programs for the public. BEW Global implemented their Intelisecure service at South Jersey Healthcare in October of 2009 in an effort to help salvage a DLP deployment that was struggling.
“SJH handles a considerable amount of confidential and regulated data on behalf of our patients and business associates,” said Francois Bodhuin, Technology Director. “We had a DLP solution in place, but did not feel our organization was realizing the maximum benefit from the application and we struggled to find the resources to truly manage the solution. We engaged BEW Global to help us with our data loss prevention project, and within four weeks had a fully functioning managed data loss prevention solution in place. Intelisecure allowed us to meet the demanding privacy requirements of HIPAA and the newly enacted HITECH Act in regards to monitoring electronic protected health information (ePHI) and ensuring the secure transmission of any messages containing ePHI. The service has been running for nine months, and the amount of actionable information has allowed our team to identify broken business processes and provide a more secure and cost effective environment to our patients and business associates.”
“South Jersey Healthcare is a typical regional healthcare system focused on rolling-out cutting edge healthcare solutions that enable improved care for their patients. At the same time, these individuals are also responsible for protecting patient privacy.” said Rob Eggebrecht, Senior Partner at BEW Global. “Leveraging our Intelisecure Managed and Monitored DLP solution, the SJH team focuses on their core business of providing world class healthcare, and our team provides valuable business information that drives risk reduction and operational efficiencies by managing their in-house Websense DLP system. By integrating the Websense DLP application with SJH’s existing McAfee Secure Mail Gateway, our team created a unified platform enabling more efficient and secure communications with patients and business associates. Intelisecure allows the SJH information technology team to focus on core business processes that improve patient care while ensuring essential privacy protection required by HIPAA and HITECH.”
Intelisecure Managed and Monitored DLP Services are supported by custom designed Data Loss Prevention operations centers in the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore, operated by BEW Global. These centers currently support McAfee, Symantec, RSA, Code Green and Websense DLP solutions and integration capabilities with Cisco (IronPort), Blue Coat, Proofpoint, PGP, Voltage, Zix, McAfee Email (Ironmail) and Web (Webwasher) Secure Gateways, Symantec Email (Brightmail) and Websense Web & Email Security Gateway solutions.
The Intelisecure operations centers are staffed with specialists trained in the technical management of DLP systems and their associated integrated solutions, as well as business process analysts who focus on identifying potential data leakage and assessing poorly designed or broken business processes.
